My favorite places I’ve traveled to so far are Aruba, Hawaii, Lido Key, Nashville, and Utah (you can read about our trips to Nashville here and Utah here)!! I also love going to Disney (even if it’s for the 100th time) and crave the annual road trip to a new location with my best friend, Erin. My favorite places to be are at home hanging out with my family or playing in the ocean!
I adore iced coffee and my favorite food is definitely crab legs. I have music playing 24/7, or at least whenever possible, and I also LOVE to read a good book. Erin and I have a book club with my sister (Kait) and our friend, Tina, and it is the highlight of my calendar! I like to learn (you’re never too old to learn something new) and yes, I really DO love math. I have a thing for handbags and shoes and I love to shop online. What is Adventure á la Mode?
So, it’s actually kind of funny, but a lot of readers have asked since we started this blog, “Adventures with ice cream?!” Not exactly.. lol. Ash doesn’t even really like ice cream! Since we get the question a lot, we wanted to include the actual first definition of “á la Mode” in this post (see above).
It is of French origin, meaning literally “in fashion,” “stylish,” or “up to date.” In North America, it’s also taken on the meaning of “dessert with style”– aka with ice cream! We decided back in February of 2017 to name our blog Adventure á la Mode so we could use it as a platform to showcase our travels– in style! 😉
