For about one year now, I’ve been using a Clarisonic to cleanse my face at night and in the morning. I went with the Mia Fit 2 in pink (shown above). Its small enough that it’s easy for me to take on all of my travels. It’s honestly changed my skin. I rarely ever get zits at all anymore since I’ve begun using it. It comes with a soft brush. When I originally ordered mine, it also came with a deep pore cleansing brush as well. This brush is a little “harder,” but I like it equally well and use both brushes, depending on what I feel my skin needs. Brushes should be replaced every three months, but I’ve definitely gone a little longer. This device is super cute and I leave it on my bathroom counter in its charging bay. It comes in three different colors– pink, white, and turquoise. I got Kaitlyn the turquoise one for Christmas and she also loves it and uses it daily!
As far as face wash, I have tried everything that Target has to offer– from Neutrogena to Clean & Clear and truth be told– I was never impressed. Last year, when I went to visit my friend Ally in California, she introduced me to my current face wash. I swear by it and so does my sister! I get my Checks & Balances Frothy Face Wash by Origins from Sephora. Over the past year, I’ve used about 2 full bottles of it. A little goes a long way because it’s so, well… frothy. I like it so much because it’s gentle, but keeps my skin break-out free. It does exactly what it says– balances out oily and dry places on your skin. My skin is “combination” because sometimes, it’s oily and sometimes, it’s dry! Since, I’ve started using this cleanser, it’s really never either anymore! My face always feels so refreshed and never dry or tight after using it. It’s the best!
As I talked about in a previous post, a few nights a week, I like to use GlamGlow ThirstyMud hydrating treatment as my moisturizer. It smells soooo good and keeps my skin feeling so smooth and soft. Moisturized skin with no break-outs is exactly what we love. <3
Another mask that I love from GlamGlow is the Supermud Clearing Treatment. I’ve used this particular mask sporadically over the past three years. It’s great for cleansing your pores. It is a dark grey mask that can be applied to the entire face or used as a spot treatment. I like to apply it to my entire face. After about 15-20 minutes, it will dry and can be washed from the face with water. Then, I just pat dry. It leaves the skin feeling clean and refreshed. I like to use this one on Saturdays (which I often call maintenance day lol).
I also like to occasionally use the GlamGlow FlashMud Brightening Treatment. It was chosen as one of Allure‘s Editor Picks for 2016 and rightfully so. It uses natural ingredients (and smells like oranges) to brighten and even out skin tone. I used it a few times a week when I first got it (which is suggested) and now use it about once per week. It helps your skin achieve a really radiant and glowing look.
If you’re looking for an inexpensive alternative, Que Bella masks from Target are around $2.00 a piece. You can get about two masks out of each packet. I really like Pore Minimizing, Repairing, and Nourishing. They also have hair masks. The Que Bella masks are great for an at home spa day with your best friends and can be purchased in store or online from Target!
Thanks to my ipsy bag subscription (I’ve found so many awesome products with ipsy), I’ve been introduced to sheet masks. The Biobelle #StayGorgeous masks were included in my February ipsy bag and are the next ones I’m going to try (more on these soon)! The BioRepublic masks are a repeat purchase for me. I first started using them when I received three of them in my ipsy bag! I purchased a few more soon after because I love them. The Cucumber and Pomegranate are both great! They are full of nutrients and moisture and make my skin feel amazing and really nourished. The Aloe Rescue is amazing to help soothe and heal a sun burned face.
Last but not least, one of my new favorite products that has become part of my bed-time routine is Kiehl’s Eye Brightening Concentrate. It has really been a fabulous find. I read about it a few months ago and how it brightens the eye area. I tend to stay up late and get up early and dark circles can be a very real thing. This honestly has brightened my eye area over the last few weeks of use. I apply it to my ring fingers and gently apply under each eye before bed. I’ve read reviews that it can also be used in the morning for extra brightening. A little goes a long way with this stuff too. Bonus– it helps reduce wrinkles, too (Are you happy, Ally? No crows feet for this girl. And I know she’s reading this and smiling).
Taking care of your skin is so important. Taking the time to give it some real TLC has done wonders for my skin! Hope you found something here that you will love too! <3

Ash
