This year, I’ve become somewhat of a Bath & Body candle crazy. I love relaxing or getting my work done with a fall/winter candle burning nearby. From your comments and responses, I have discovered that most of you feel the same way! ICYMI, I listed some of my favorite fall scents in this blog post. The worst thing ever is when you get to the bottom and there seems to be so much candle left, but not enough wick for it to burn any longer. Darn. Recently, I learned you don’t have to throw away that wonderful smelling candle that ran out of wick! You can use the leftover candle wax to make your own melts for your warmer in less than 10 minutes! Yay!
Follow these simple steps:
1. Bring a pot of water to a boil.
2. Turn off stove and set pot aside so it is no longer on the hot burner. Place candle jar in the pot of hot water (it will float).
3. Do whatever you need to do! Let candle sit in hot water until melted completely (5-10 mins).
4. Pour the oil into baking cups. I doubled mine so it wouldn’t soak through.
5. Let them sit until solid/cool (this only takes a few minutes).
6. Remove from baking cups and store in ziploc bags. I labeled mine with the scents.
7. Place as many as desired on your warmer… and enjoy! (Repeat steps 1-7 for each new scent).
I did all of this Sunday morning before church and it really took no time at all! It’s so nice to be able to have these beloved Bath & Body Works scents in melt form! Most of these scents are perfect for the upcoming holidays and you don’t have to worry about a candle burning. Let me know if you try it and how it worked out for you in the comments below… <3
