So, to start this off, I have to tell you that last night was amazing. Finally, I got to see The Last Jedi.. and I’ve been waiting two years for its arrival. As you can see above, I was super excited to be there. Despite my floral Storm Trooper sweatshirt, I’m totally a Rebel. 😉 Most people probably haven’t seen it yet, so no spoilers.
Secondly, I want to point out that this photo was taken at close to 8:00PM and most of my make-up was long gone. Also, I am NOT wearing lash extensions. The photo was only edited to adjust the lighting, as it was dark in the room. This brings me to my next point… Rodan+Fields, friends. I had heard of it and seen a million Facebook posts about people selling it. I just never really was sure. You know I’m always honest in my reviews, so today, I bring you nothing but complete honesty. And honestly, I love the products I’ve tried so far. When I personally believe in something, I become passionate about it and that’s precisely why I decided to join the Rodan+Fields team. I’m not trying to sell you today, but rather wanting to share my new favorite products. If you decide that you would like to try them to, then I am excited for you and would love for you to check out my new website! 🙂 I do not have a monthly quota. I do not sell R+F full-time. I am a high school math teacher, blogger, and co-own a Pittsburgh apparel company. I started my own R+F website so that it’s easier for my readers to get ahold of some of these amazing products (and you need a consultant to purchase them)!
I guess I was to the point where I know 30 is on the horizon and wrinkles could become real very soon and I’m just not ready for that. I also have pretty decent eyelashes, but who doesn’t want them to be longer and thicker?! My skin doesn’t isn’t really acne-prone– maybe the occasional stress pimple here and there, but we all strive for that flawless, even, virtually pore-less skin. I started checking out Rodan+Fields products when my friend Valentia told me about some of the ones she was using. Valent is in her 60s and has one of the best skin/complexions I’ve ever seen… better than most 20 and 30-somethings I know. I had to check out her new skin regimen.
One of the first products I tried was the Lash Boost. I started using it regularly a little less than 4 weeks ago though. It is not prescription like the ever-popular Latisse (I’ve tried it and actually wasn’t super impressed with the results. It also causes discoloration of the lids and can cause light irises to turn dark…scary for those of us with light blue eyes and probably not worth it!). R+F Lash Boost is a lash conditioner. It helps you keep your real lashes healthy by conditioning them each night, which in turn, allows them to grow fuller and longer! I am already seeing results. I am going to update you with photos of my lashes again in a few weeks. Lash extensions can look sparse after the first week. With Last Boost, you’re improving the health and appearance of lashes that are 100% real and 100% yours. No fills required! I only wish I’d found my new beloved conditioning serum sooner!! 🙂 Oh and PS. You can apply it to your eyebrows too!
My next favorite product I’ve actually been using for almost 2 months!! I love how the Redefine Intensive Renewing Serum comes in little capsules with the perfect amount of serum in each one for one use. I’ve been using it every night and I believe this is the product to which I can attribute my skin evenness. Powered by Retinal-MD (not “retinol”) Technology, it’s the closest you can get to prescription-strength Vitamin A without a prescription. It is super gentle on my skin and refines and smooths my skin so much. I barely use any foundation on my face because of this stuff right here. I just brush on a light layer each morning. In fact, I’m wondering if I will get to the point where I no longer want to wear any foundation at all..
The other product I’ve fallen in love with is something that I feel my skin personally needed the most. Due to a lot of sunburns on my nose as a kid, I’ve always felt like the pores on my nose were kind of enlarged. I constantly was using Biore black head strips (almost daily) to remove any unwanted dirt. I wasn’t sure if other people noticed, but I wasn’t a fan. So, I decided to try the Redefine Pore Minimizing Toner. This wasn’t the first “toner” I’d tried. I had given others a go. I googled the best remedies and products. I even tried some of the best Nordstrom’s Cosmetic Department had to offer. I would always complain to my mom and tell her she should’ve put more sunscreen on my nose as a child. LOL But even she has noticed a change in my skin and complimented me on it!! I can’t even explain to you how happy I am with it. Obviously, it is impossible to have no pores at all– we need them! I almost wish I had taken a before photo, but then again, I’m kind of happy I didn’t. Gone are the old enlarged-pores. Above is a completely untouched photo. Of course, my skin isn’t perfect and my nose isn’t “poreless,” but it’s so much better than before and I couldn’t be happier. I aplly it every night after I wash my face and each morning, I do the same! PS. Check out MY eyelashes!! 🙂
Lastly, two products I just started using and am loving already are the Bright Eye Complex and Lip Renewing Serum. I love to have bright eyes! I feel this is especially necessary when you wake up at 5:00AM every day!! lol As concealer, I use IT Cosmetics Illumination Bye Bye Under Eye under the eyes each day. Since I’ve started using the Bright Eye Complex, my eyes are already super bright and my dark circles are virtually nonexistent compared to before. I just apply a little IT Cosmetics on the undereye area when I put on my make-up and it’s a winning combo! 🙂 With the weather being cold and dry, I’ve been using the R+F Lip Renewing Serum (also in individual capsules) at night. I rotate this with MAC Lip Scrub and Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask (once a week). I have full lips that can become dry and chapped so easily. All three of these products help tremendously to give me soft lips!
I hope that I’ve introduced you to something that you will love just as much as I do. I can tell you that I would never start a business or start selling something if it’s not something that I 100% believe in. Before I end this post, I want you to know that R+F has products for every skin type– wrinkles, dark spots, dry skin, blemishes, uneven skin tone, etc.. As I learn more about them, I will share more information with you. You can actually take a short quiz to determine which products are best for your needs– that’s what I started out doing! So far, I am using the REDEFINE and REVERSE (Brightening) lines, which is what was recommended to me on the consultation tool. Please let me know if you have any questions. I can’t wait to share more honest results and favorite products with you. Also, it is possible to receive a great discount on Rodan+Fields products by signing up to be a Preferred Customer (which is what I did before I became a Consultant). For a one time fee (less than $20), you receive a 10% discount, free shipping, the option to auto ship, and early access to new products.
What’s next on my list of things to try?? Well, I’m dying to try the Amp MD Micro Exfoliating Roller (I’ve seen and heard about some amazing results with it)!! And I would LOVE to have this since it has two of my favorite products– and OK, look at all the sparkle on the eyelash curler. Omg. LOVE. If you are interested in trying any of these products, you can order them here. Oh, and if you don’t love them, there is a 60-day money back satisfaction guarantee.
xo,
Ashley
