I decided to do a post on my Target run shopping list because I’ve discovered a lot of my readers, like me, LOVE Target. For me, it’s close to my house and always is way less crowded than the dreaded.. Wal-Mart. If you don’t love a good Target run, you’re missing out on one of life’s greatest pleasures. I also have a Target RedCard debit card so I get 5% off on all my purchases. If I have a big electronics purchase to make, it usually helps make Target’s price the most competitive. The savings also add up when you have a big order. All of those memes you see about running into Target for 2 things and leaving with 10… they’re all me. So, what are my Target go-tos? Let me just tell you..
1. Hangers: You might find this hard to believe, but I somehow always need more hangers… weird, right? lol My favorite ones come from Target and they’re really inexpensive. I’m that crazy girl that needs all of the hangers in her closet to be the same– and don’t even think about giving me one of those flimsy ones that come with your purchase at the store unless you want to ruin my closet and my day. I like the black Joy Huggable Hangers and the Target Brand (Room Essentials) plastic Black Hangers!
2. Sharpie Pens (Medium Point): I’ve been using these since their inception. When my friend Kelly and I were finishing up our last few semesters of college, Sharpie released their pen. Her and I would take notes and complete assignments in nothing but our beloved Sharpie pens. Here I am about 8 years later and I’m still using the same pen, but in medium point, its far better predecessor. If you’ve seen anything I’ve written from photos here on the blog, it’s always done with this pen! I create tests and assignments for my class with them, use them for attendance and other paperwork at the school, and use them in my planner. They’re hard to find in medium point (fine point are everywhere). Even Staples stopped carrying them, but Target (my love) has continued to carry them in a 3-pack at the most reasonable price. Thank you, Target.
3. Kristin Ess Dry Shampoo: I talked about how much I love this dry shampoo before in this blog post. It’s the greatest and it’s only available at Target. It’s so hard to find in stock because I’m pretty sure there are lots of other people who love it as much as I do! Has anyone tried any of her other products? I want to, but they’re a bit pricy so I’m hoping to read some reviews before taking the risk! My sister swears by the Batiste dry shampoo that also is available at Target.
4. Cosmetic Products/Toiletries: Depending on which product better fits your needs, I like both the Neutrogena Make-up Removing Wipes and the Neutrogena Make-up Remover. Both work well. I actually prefer these over the Up&Up Target brand. And I’ve tried both. I also use the Up&Up Premium Cotton Rounds for multiple parts of my morning/evening routine! There are different types/quality of cotton round and the premium doesn’t cost much more and is definitely the best for removing my eye make-up and applying my R&F toner that I discuss here. I also buy my favorite toothpaste from Target. I haven’t whitened my teeth in years and Crest Brilliance keeps them looking bright and white! I usually buy paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, and baby wipes here if we don’t have time to go to Sam’s Club. I have to buy baby wipes in bulk for Charlie, but when I don’t have time to make a Sam’s run to Morgantown, I get the Sensitive Skin Up&Up brand for her. (If you’re wondering why my dog needs baby wipes, we wipe her face, paws, and “private parts” every single time she comes in from outside. That’s right. My dog is probably cleaner than your kid. Lol.)
5. Bioré Charcoal Pore Strips: I like to use these once a week or so to remove all of the blackheads and dirt left behind by the week. They work so well. The charcoal kind specifically works the best!
6. Coffee/Coffee Cups: Spoiler alert: All of my cute coffee cups come from Target. There or TJMaxx. My husband might kill me if I bring another one home, but somehow, I always find another cute one at a reasonable price. They’re under $5 at Target and make for the cutest photos! I also browse the coffee section to check out the latest and greatest k-cups.
7. French Fries: Don’t judge me on the fact that I’m sporting complete athleisure and also head-over-heels happy with this huge bag of fries. When I was in Cali visiting Ally, she kept her freezer loaded with these things. They’re the best french fries (second only to McDonald’s IMO). She always seasoned them with Red Robin seasoning, so now I do the same! Try them. You won’t be sorry! I typically buy a few grocery items here when I only need a few things.
8. Office Supplies: Target has some of the cutest office supplies (in addition to Sharpie pens, of course lol)! I got my marble office supplies for my home office from Target. They have the cutest paper trays, clipboards, and notebooks too! They also have cute office decor to accent your office (and home). I got my “Wander Lust” sign from Target! Shout out to my friend, Tia, for the cute little teaching sign for my desk! She got me another cute one this year for my birthday this year too. I’ll have to share a photo on Instagram tomorrow; it’s at work!
That’s a typical Target run for me! Did you find something you want to try?! Let me know what you love from my shopping list!
xo,
Ashley
