Once upon a time, last spring, Erin and I were shopping (big surprise) and she needed to stop in Bath & Body Works to pick up a few candles for her home. I browsed the Wallflowers, as I was never into candles. Wallflowers, though, they were all over my house! Erin would hand me a candle and then a few moments later, another one, holding them out to me and demanding, “Smell this.” I would tell her my opinion and she would listen and then pick up another one, “What about this one?” There were so many. I strolled around the store admiring the pretty candle holders, secretly wishing I liked them so I could make my home a little prettier with these gorgeous decorative items. I spotted a pretty candle and a marble and rose gold holder that would look perfect in my office. It was Copper Coconut. Yuck. I hate coconut. I won’t eat anything with coconut it it! Why does it have to be in the prettiest jar? I twisted off the lid anyway. Whoah. That smells amazing! “ERIN!!! SMELL THIS.” Erin smiled. She knew I was a goner.
Copper Coconut is the “best thing I never knew I needed!” (Check out the cute marble ceramic lid too!) Also, you can see that I’m planning out my next month with my Erin Condren Teacher planner (new month, new goals). I told her I would just sit it in my office, where it looked gorgeous next to my computer, among my marble office supplies. For a month or two, there it sat, and every so often, when I worked on my computer, I’d get a whiff of it. One day, I decided to get a little wild and light it. Omg. SO, THIS IS WHY YOU PEOPLE LOVE BATH & BODY WORKS CANDLES. Why didn’t you TELL me?!?! Lol. I hate being late to the party, but nevertheless, here I am. Since then, I’ve bought more candles than my husband approves of and I love to burn them when I’m working in the office or the kitchen or even watching a movie (or football game)! But the saddest story of them all is that Copper Coconut, my favorite of any of their scents, was long gone. It was a spring scent and not one remained. Mine was burning down to nothing, as I sparingly burned it, trying to conserve it as much as possible. It’s a clean, almost a little bit beachy smell, that just smells like “Ashley’s house” now!

PSA: It’s been a long year, but it’s back!! I just stocked up the other day thanks to the one of gift cards my mom got me for my birthday! She knows me so well! I got a few of the Copper Coconut Wallflowers too. Guys, I kid you not, it’s their best scent. It doesn’t even really smell much like coconut. (Backstory– everyone in the fam knows because I’m literally the ONLY one)– I’ve always hated coconut; though, I did recently figure out that the coconut scent and taste are OK– it’s the texture of shredded coconut I don’t like!)
