Spring 2k18 DōTERRA Giveaway

Happy first day of Spring! We have been talking and you all have been so wonderful and supportive of our blog that we just had to do another giveaway! Spring is upon us (thank goodness) and as we anticipate warmer weather and all things colorful we decided to embrace all things natural and give away a dōTERRA Essential Oils Family Kit.

I (Erin) have recently become an advocate for dōTERRA; my love for the oils began about a year ago when my mom started reading up on the benefits of using them. Not taking away from modern medicine– just trying to use less of it. What I mean is, if I can spare my liver the trouble of breaking down a couple of Tylenol by using peppermint for my headache, then I’m doing my body a favor; I can also use natural remedies and products as preventative maintenance. Since ordering my own family kit, I have found so many uses for the 12 basic oils that are included in this kit. My husband even reaches for them these days.

Before I tell you how you can enter to win this totally awesome kit, I want to start by giving you a peek at what’s inside!

Lavender: On nights that I (or my husband) have trouble sleeping, I place this behind my ears, or even sprinkle a little on my pillow, and I’m off to dreamland in just a few short minutes. I also love to dab it on a heatable rice bag and place around my neck while relaxing.

Lemon: This one is great for cleaning (especially good for wooden surfaces). You can also diffuse this for an energized feeling throughout the day or add to your water for a little extra flavaaaa.

Peppermint: One of my usual “go-tos”; perfect for belly aches, headaches, and an instant coolant when you’re over-heated.

Melaleuca (Tea Tree):  I used 2 drops of this mixed with 1 cup of water for a quick and refreshing face wash, not to mention add to shampoo to help with lice prevention and to soothe the effects of dandruff.

Oregano: This oil is great for boosting the immune system, as well as boosting flavor in your favorite dishes.

Frankincense: the saying is “when in doubt, get the Frank out.” This is by far one of my all time favorite oils. If you’re not sure what oil to use, just grab Frankincense; it is sure to help you in any situation. My mom always says, “If it was good enough for the baby Jesus, it’s good enough for me.”

DeepBlue: all-natural Bengay or icy hot. Perfect for athletes just massage it on to sore muscles for instant relief.

dōTERRA Breathe: Sinus issues? Allergies? Diffuse this blend or massage into your chest to open those airways! We diffuse it every night and it has significantly subsided my husband’s snoring!

DigestZen: This oil is perfect for balancing out your digestive system. It has a warming sensation when massaged on the abdomen and works great when mixed in your favorite smoothies and drinks.

dōTERRA On Guard: You can clean with this oil or you can simply ingest it. Give it to your family with their daily vitamins to help ward off any sicknesses! This is an amazing oil for protection against daily germs. Teachers can also diffuse this blend in their classrooms and wipe down desks with a dilution of this oil.

There are many other uses for each of these oils; I just told you my favorite uses for them!
