Looking like I’m at the beach, but it’s really 38 degrees out. lol
Where are our followers with naturally wavy hair?! It’s not straight, but it’s not curly.. 🙋🏼♀️ Yep, that’s me!! When I was little, my hair was very curly. Once it got longer, it turned into waves. I’ve spent my whole life wanting it to be straight like my sister’s! My sister has the most beautiful long, straight brown hair! I usually curl my hair. If you’ve ever wondered why that is… Well, 1. It’s already kind of wavy so curling is easiest. And 2. If there’s any humidity or rain, my hair that took me so long to straighten gets wavy anyway!
My mom and Erin both are always telling me to rock the naturally wavy look, but I haven’t since I was in college (clearly, au naturale was the easiest way to wear my hair for the busy college student). That was about 8 years ago now. My hair always grew like crazy then because I was never applying any heat to it. It air-dried and I used no hot tools (straightener, curling iron, etc.). The only time I’m ever OK with my wavy hair lately is at the beach; I rock the beachy sea salt waves while sippin’ on a piña colada on the beach or playing in the waves! Completely acceptable.

One of my friends (shout out again, Tia!) told me she was going to try the new Kristin Ess Sea Salt Air Dry Spray from Target! I figured I’d give it a shot too, especially since I love love love the Kristin Ess Dry Shampoo. I know a lot of you told me you did too after I wrote a blog post on it a few months ago! This new sea salt spray definitely gave my natural waves that “beachy” look and didn’t make my hair crispy at all! I just sprayed it on damp towel-dried hair and let my natural waves go! If you don’t have naturally wavy hair, just work your hands or a towel through the hair, “scrunching” as you move around the head. Tia says that the Beach Wave Spray is also good, but is applied on dry hair to volumize and create shine. I want to try this product next!
