The Candle that Will Make You Forget Bath & Body Works (& Fall Collection Giveaway!)

If you know us, you already know that we love anything that makes our houses smell amazing. We consistently shop all of Bath & Body Works candle sales, load up on tarts for our burners, and even have the discs for our vehicles. It’s an obsession really! Open up our candle cabinets (yes, we both have a cabinet full of candles) and you will find Warm Apple Pie, Pumpkin Pecan Waffles, Summer Boardwalk, and many of our other favorite scents.

 

When our friend, Ashley Null, owner of Heaven Scent Candle Company, posted about her new candle company and her scents being every bit as good as B&BW, we have to be honest… we were a bit skeptical at first. Not that we don’t think she has what it takes to create amazing scents… we are just in love with the ones we already burn. We decided to try out a few of her scents and this is what we learned:

1. There are times when burning candles we have both gotten headaches. That is because they don’t burn “clean”. At HSCC, Ashley makes soy wax candles, so you don’t get the hidden junk in them. This means cleaner candle burning– no carcinogens, pollutants, or petrol-carbon soot. It should be noted that if you have allergies, they are less likely to be triggered by a soy wax candle!
2. HSCC’s candles last wayyy longer than Bath & Body Works candles. Both of us have been burning our candles non-stop over the past few weeks and they aren’t even a fourth of the way burned down.
3. The scent fills the room! We initially thought there was no way they were going to make our houses smell as good as our beloved B&BW candles. News flash: they make them smell even better. We’re being honest with you when we say our next candle order will 100% be with HSCC! They’re really the best!
