During the weeks leading up to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale a few months ago, I noticed a ton of my favorite fashion bloggers were posting photos in a lace-trimmed tank that made all of their outfits look so cute! Of course, it was out-of-stock even during the pre-sale for Nordstrom cardholders and I was super bummed. I honestly checked every day and finally got online at the right time and found one in my size (this happens a lot with returns during the pre-sale; so naturally, I don’t give up when I’m on the hunt)! When it finally came in, I loved it and wore it under so many different things. It truly became a staple in my closet.
I loved it so much that I really wanted a second one to have on hand. This past month, Nordstrom and Halogen released a new updated version of the lace-trim camisole and it is currently re-stocked and available in all sizes! Though there are other colors available, the black one is my favorite. (The version I purchased this summer is pictured above on the left and the new version is on the right.) This cami looks great under cardigans, v-neck sweaters, and blazers. I am wearing a size Medium.
Last year, I purchased this pink sweater from Express while traveling to a Steelers away game with my friend Bethany. I knew it would be perfect for October and #BCA events. Let’s be honest, who really has bright pink clothing in her closet that’s perfect for the fall and winter months?! I do now– finally! It’s oversized and I am actually wearing a size small. Though this is no longer in stock, I found a very similar cardigan at Nordstrom Rack– same color, same fit and under $35!
During the Nordstrom Anniversary Pre-sale this summer, I finally caved and purchased a pair of AG Jeans. They were on sale for over $100 off and I had read about how fantastic the quality is. My friend Ally has a several pair and always has encouraged me to buy a pair! I did it at a very fair price– and well, no regrets! They’re truly the best jeans I’ve ever owned! They fit like a glove and I wear them every chance I get. Mine are The Farrah (skinny, ankle jeans). At some point, you need to treat yourself to a pair. I suggest waiting until the NSale of Anniversary Sale.
When I’m not teaching, I wear a lot of leggings. If you’ve been reading our blog for a while, you already know that I believe nothing holds a candle to Nordstrom’s Zella High Waist Live In Leggings. Nothing surpasses the quality and longevity of these babies. If you want to feel good in a pair of leggings, let me recommend these to you 100 times. I still love my Lululemons for yoga class, but these are very comparable at half the price. Plus, as the name suggests, I really do live in my Zellas starting in October. If you don’t already own a pair, don’t even wait until the next sale, you’re missing out on the best pair of leggings in the world. Promise.
Another item that went out of stock within minutes and left me checking for returns multiple times a day.. the BP Oversized Leopard Cardigan. I didn’t get my hands on one last year, so this year, I was determined. I have not yet found one similar enough to this one to post about it, but it is a return from last year, so it could make another appearance next summer. I’ll be sure to keep an eye out. The one I’m wearing is a size small and made by BP (a Nordstrom brand). Again, I’m wearing the Halogen lace cami under this cardigan. My shoes are Steve Madden leopard mules. I got mine from Zappo’s– free shipping and returns! 😉
I’ve been really busy with work lately, but I definitely have a few other things I’ve been wanting to blog about that I hope to write for you over the next 2 weeks! Erin and I have some fun fall activities planned that we want to share with you, as well! Hope everyone is having a fabulous fall! I can’t help but love fall so so much; it has all of my favorite things: football, leggings, boots, sweatshirts, and pumpkin spice! 🙂
xoxo,
Ashley
