Over the past year, I’ve perfected my lash routine. My lashes are probably the thing I get asked about the most, so I’m sharing my routine with you today for long, natural lashes that show up great in photos! I use 4 products every single day (I really try to never forget a step)!
Step 1: Conditioning Serum
I wrote a post about my Lash Boost Conditioning Serum last year. I still use it every single night and my lashes are super full and long from conditioning them with this serum. I just apply a very small amount along my upper lash line before I go to bed every night. I’ve been using it for about a year and a half and I’ve only ever purchased two bottles. I am still on my second one. This is definitely the most pricy item in my lash routine, but the one that keeps my lashes healthy and growing because of all of the vitamins and nutrients (like Biotin) in my Lash Boost serum! Is it worth it? 1000 times, yes. My lashes speak for themselves. You can also put this on your eyebrows as needed.
Step 2: Lash Primer
Oh, this stuff right here is good. I love They’re Real mascara, but it wasn’t giving me the fullness I wanted. When I discovered that Benefit made a They’re Real Lash Primer, I was like, ‘OK, sign me up.’ This primer really separates my lashes and gets them ready for my favorite mascara! It goes on smooth and coats the lashes, lengthening and separating them to achieve my desired look! It’s easily the best primer I’ve ever used. And I use it on its own sometimes when I want a more natural look.
Step 3: The Best Mascara
Best mascara in the world, hands down, don’t @ me: Better than Sex mascara by Too Faced. It’s my favorite ever ever and I’ve yet to find any out there that I like better. It lengthens my lashes to their full potential, while making them fuller and more lush. If you’ve never tried this mascara, what the heck are you waiting for?? Just ask Erin.. I’ve got her addicted to BTS too!
Step 4: Coconut Oil
I stopped using all make-up removers. I noticed that my lashes were falling out because of how hard I had to rub my eyes to remove my eye make-up. NOT cool. Coconut oil is great to use as make-up remover because it removes make-up easily, but also conditions the eyelashes and provides them with natural nutrients! You can get this at the grocery store, but your best deal will be at Sam’s club because you can get a big tub. I just put some in a little Tupperware container with my cosmetics for every day use.
It’s a pretty simple routine, but I’ve achieved some amazing results. If you’re looking to have your best lashes by Christmas/New Year’s, start now. It takes about 4 weeks of this routine to see results and about 7-8 to reach desired length/fullness. What I love about my lashes the most is that they show up in photos. I used to grab a set of falsies for big events so that my eyes looked more dramatic in photos, but now I don’t have to bring along my lash glue.
I also got my lashes tinted by Erin a few weeks ago and it allows me to go au natural! My lashes are already long and full, but they are rather light due to being a natural blonde. Having darker lashes allows me to go out and about sans mascara and still have defined lashes.

Ashley
