Each year, we look forward to getting together on Christmas Eve and spending the evening together. This year, Ashley was traveling to New Orleans (but let’s not talk about that game right now) a few days before Christmas, so we had to squeeze our get-together in after Christmas Eve church service. It was still so nice to be able to relax in our jammies, exchange presents, and talk about Christmas gifts we had planned to give and traditions with our families that we love.
So, what did we get one another?? Well, last year, at this time, we had had an argument (sad face) and we missed out on sharing a Christmas together. We definitely made up for it this Christmas! Shopping for one another is one of the easiest things on our Christmas to-do lists because.. well, we know each other so well.
Ashley: Erin got me this amazing RIKI illuminated travel mirror, just perfect for a girl-on-the-go! It’s rose gold and comes with a charger. It’s also perfect for tweezing my eyebrows. 😉 She also got me a monogrammed fleece pullover and a personalized delicate bracelet with a globe/map of the world on it. I love it so much and it will remind me of all of our impromptu road trips– you know, the ones like this one to Michigan where we don’t make any plans and just go!? Er also got me some new professional hair products I love and gel polishes since I do my own nails at home! One of my favorite gifts (as evidenced by the fact I wore them all day on Christmas) are my Field & Stream Cabin Socks! They are soooo warm and the inside is so snuggly and soft. They come in lots of colors and prints too. Erin got me a really festive grey and black snowflake pair. My feet are always freezing, so these made the perfect gift! They’re available for purchase at Field & Stream or Dick’s Sporting Goods.
Erin: Oh my, where do I even start? I ended up with so many awesome things, I can’t possibly choose a favorite. Ashley had a pile of presents all wrapped and tied together, and tagged with calligraphy (she’s so extra, I love it) just for me. I opened up a beautiful Alex and Ani beaded wrap bracelet and a pair of Robert Rose dangle earrings (I have been going on and on about how my accessory game is lacking– Ash did not disappoint), not one but two Rae Dunn Coffee mugs – one is a travel mug with a lid and one that says “Bestie”, a wallet that was made to go perfectly to go with my Louis Vuitton bag that I got a few months ago, a Mr. Coffee Bean Grinder and Dunkin’ Donuts Whole Beans (that little did I know paired perfectly with my Kitchen Aid Cold Brewer that my husband got me for Christmas). The gift that I was basically told I couldn’t open until the very end contained my VERY FIRST pair of UGG slippers!!
We hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas spent with family and loved ones! As we approach two years of Adventure á la Mode, we want to sincerely thank you for helping us make this a cozy space to share, be real, and spread love and ideas. Please keep reading, commenting, and sharing with us because we enjoy being part of YOUR family too! <3
Merry Christmas!
xoxo,
Er & Ash
