It’s that time of year that we all start to get a little antsy for travel. We both have been scouring magazine articles and Pinterest-ing places we want to see. Our bucket list is pretty full, but we’ve also gone on some trips already that were absolutely amazing. Maybe it’s the cold, but we’re ready to plan! For those of you who might also have the itch, we’ve compiled a list of our top places to road trip! These are all places we’ve actually driven to and not flown. If there is interest, we can also write a blog post on top places to travel (via sky)! You can read more about each location and details of our road trips by clicking the links for each one.
- Michigan and the Upper Peninsula: We traveled to Michigan last summer and did one of our spontaneous drives with no plans or reservations. Michigan is so underrated and beautiful. We hunted down some of the clearest blue lakes and even found the “Caribbean of the North!”
2. Boston/New England Coast: We did a spontaneous road trip up the New England Coast with final destination of Boston in the summer of 2016. Once again, no reservations, no plans. We drove up the coast, stopping at cities that interested us along the way. This trip truly was one of the best we’ve ever been on.
3. Baltimore’s Inner Harbor: Baltimore is a quick trip from the Pittsburgh area and so beautiful. The harbor has a beachy feel and the food is amazing. We even dedicated an entire blog post to the food we had there. It’s a good thing we did a lot of walking because we probably consumed twice the recommended calorie intake each day. We visited several touristy places and felt incredibly safe throughout our stay.
Let us know which of these places you’re adding to your Road Trip bucket list!
