It’s that time again friends! The Rouge Sale at Sephora kicks off tomorrow and we couldn’t be more excited. We have been wanting to do a post on make-up and the things that we both use– some similar and some totally different. We always take advantage of the Rouge Sale to get the items we need or are going to need because 20% off at Sephora is a rare thing (it also happens around Christmastime)!

Drunk Elephant Kit – I found this kit at Sephora a few weeks back. Ashley had talked so highly about the Drunk Elephant Babyfacial that I wanted to experience some of their products too. I purchased the kit itself so I could try multiple products at once before investing in the full sized items.
GlamGlow Mud Mask – you will find this mask in both of our bags. The “10-minute facial” really gives you the glow you need prior to putting on your makeup. Of course this is another one that Ashley turned me on to.
Too Faced Primed and Poreless Primer– I personally love the Too Faced line. This primer helps me achieve that photo finished look as well as serves as a great base to the Too Faced foundation I use.
Too Faced Born This Way Foundation – I am on my 3rd bottle of the BTW foundation and I love it. It gives me the exact coverage I am looking for (medium to full) and there are tons of tones to choose from. I am currently using Porcelain because I have yet to tan due to winter. When Ashley and I were in Florida and we were getting some sun I would just use a little extra bronzer which also happens to be Too Faced.
Too Faced Chocolate Soliel Bronzer – Guess who got me hooked on this years ago? You guessed it – Ashley. With her richer skin tones she has always been a fan of different bronzers but for myself I always had to be extra careful. Bronzers that I have used in the past have always made me too orange, but Ash assured me that wouldn’t happen with this. I have been using it every day for years and I LOVE it.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Powder Contour Kit – As I sit up late at night watching endless makeup tutorials I always love to see how different beauty bloggers contour. I never really thought contouring made a huge difference when I attempted it in the past but after watching my friend Loaren use the Anastasia contour palette and what it did for her I decided to give it a try. GAME CHANGER. Now here I am every morning upping my morning makeup routine by 10 minutes because now I can’t live with out my contour. I use the light to medium tones. The powder is rich and there isn’t a lot of fall out so you definitely get a lot of product on your brush so going any darker would be way too dark for me.
Anastasia Beverly Hills DIPBROW Pomade: When Ashley and I went on our New England trip we stopped at a Benefit store and started using Ka-Brow eyebrow gel and pencil. Nothing against Benefit but I am a way bigger fan of the Dipbrow Pomade from Anastasia. I use this in the color Taupe and it matches my brows perfectly. Confession: I don’t use the Anastasia brush because all of my cosmetic brushes come from Morphe.
Laura Mercier Translucent Powder and Translucent Powder Glow – Ashley got me hooked on the Translucent Powder which compliments my contour routine perfectly. After we both fell in love with the Translucent Powder we discovered the Translucent Powder in Glow thanks to another beauty blogger. We both purchased at the last Spring Rouge Sale and are still using the same jar! These powders easily last a year if you are careful.
Fenty Beauty Diamond Bomb – Funny story about this highlighter, I used it while in Disney and I went a little overboard. Needless to say I looked like a real life Tinker Bell. Anyways, I usually take a brush and lightly apply it to my cheeks and chest area, and when I am feeling fancy I dust some on my arms.

Christian Dior Airflash Foundation: I’ve been using this foundation since 2012 and I’ve never found anything I love as much. It can be sprayed directly on the face, but I prefer to spray it on a foundation brush (I use one similar to this one from Sephora). It’s a little pricy, but it lasts a long time. It’s low to medium coverage so when using it, you may need concealer for any problem areas.
It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Illumination: This is my favorite under eye concealer because it really brightens the eye area and covers my dark circles. It’s full coverage and I apply it with my ring fingers and then blend with a Beauty Blender. You only need the smallest amount because a little goes a REALLY long way. I like the one with illumination the best!
Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon: I use this eyeliner (in black/satin finish) on my waterline and under my eyelid. I like it so much because it stays in place and doesn’t smear at all. It’s a twist up eye liner pencil.
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner: I use this liner above my lash line on my eyelid. I also use it to make a wing when I need to! It is a fine tip so it works well for drawing an even line.
Better than Sex Mascara: Erin and I both use this mascara and it is inarguably the BEST. We have everyone hooked on it now. It allows your eyelashes to display their full length while looking full and lush. If you’re still looking for the perfect mascara– we found it for you.
The Ordinary Serums: These are amazing for whatever skin issues you’re facing! I just wrote a blog post on The Ordinary serums here.
Drunk Elephant Babyfacial: The best face mask out there right now is Babyfacial by Drunk Elephant– so good in fact, that I wrote an entire blog post on it right here.
Origins Checks & Balances Frothy Face Wash: I’ve been using this face wash for years. It’s soft, removes my make-up, and is gentle enough for sensitive skin! It really does get “frothy” so it makes my face feel super clean and fresh! It’s known for “balancing” dry or oily skin– so you can use it even if you have combination skin like me!
Cover|FX Custom Enhancer Drops: This is my new FAVORITE product. These are illuminating drops to mix into your foundation. You can mix them into the actual foundation or apply them to your face to whatever areas need a little glow. I apply them to each of my cheekbones and then put my foundation on over top! I do not put them on my nose or forehead, but a little does get mixed in. They’re customizable because you control your level of “glow” based on how much you use. I use the color “Sunlight.”
Sheet Masks: I purchase my sheet masks from Sephora for a little weekend pampering (depending on what my skin is needing) and these are my top 3.
- Farmacy Coconut Gel Sheet Mask for Brightening
- Farmacy Coconut Gel Sheet Mask for Hydrating
- Too Cool for School Egg Cream Mask for Pore Tightening
Products We’re Going to Try Tomorrow
St. Tropez Tanning Sheet Mask: St. Tropez has a new sheet mask that gives your skin a soft glow, evening out your skin tone and providing your skin with nourishment all at once. Definitely adding to cart to give it a try!
Sephora Collection Palette: We both use different contour palettes. Ashley uses MAC Cosmetics and Erin uses Anastasia. We want to try the Sephora Collection Contour Palette to see how it compares! The reviews say it shows up really well.
Laneige Dewy Lip Balm: Ashley uses the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask overnight to wake up to soft lips and is so excited to try the new dewy lip balm that was just released to work on soft, kissable lips during the day too!
Let us know what you added to YOUR cart! 😉
