1,095 days of Adventure á la Mode and we aren’t stopping here. In fact, with each new year, it seems we are really just getting started. At the beginning of this month, we celebrated 3 years of Adventure á la Mode!
When we made the decision to start our blog in February of 2017, we knew we wanted it to be different. We had so much to share with everyone but always promised that we wouldn’t “sell out” and give a dishonest review. We wanted to stand behind the products we love and allow you to relax while we did the research for you.
ALM isn’t just product reviews, designer clothes, and the perfect accessories – we’re also all about travel. We have taken you along on multiple trips via Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook and have enjoyed having you along for the ride. From Michigan to Utah (and pretty soon, Texas), we have been able to share photos and videos of some of the prettiest places the United States has to offer. We have also allowed you into our homes and hearts as we share coffee recipes, skin care tips, and even a little vulnerability when we experienced loss.
We have tried to stay positive and upbeat with most of our posts and try not to dwell on the “same old” blog topics you see flooding your news feed. With a classy approach, we want to connect with women of all ages, not just a certain demographic. Heck, with a few of Ashley’s in-depth reviews of Pittsburgh sports-related topics, we have even picked up a few gentlemen followers; we like to think we have a little something for everyone here.
Most importantly, this has been a creative outlet and an escape from our every day lives. We have both continued to work full-time jobs and still provide quality content for our viewers. Some people choose to do arts and crafts; we choose to write for you about our favorite skincare lines or the super cute top we found at Nordstrom. Essentially, we are total opposites when it comes to most of our styles, tastes, and even careers, but we both share a passion for this blog and our diversity makes this blog unique.
Other than the passion we have for Adventure á la Mode, we also share a love of donuts and coffee. It made total sense to spend our 3rd anniversary in our favorite place– Dunkin’! We may have looked silly posing with a couple of Pink Velvet Macchiatos and a box of donuts, but we had a blast and even drew the attention of a few patrons enjoying their coffee. We’re pretty sure they thought we were there creating an ad for Dunkin’ in our DD apparel. We weren’t… though, we wouldn’t be opposed to it.
We never thought that we would be presented some of the amazing opportunities we have been offered, but we are grateful where this blog has taken us. What we thought would just be a small outlet has grown, opened into so many opportunities, and led to some pretty awesome friendships. It is amazing who you will cross paths with if you put yourself out there; most of the friends we have met have been some of our biggest supporters and we have been theirs. We have been able to attend pop-up parties, do collaborations with other businesses, and work side-by-side with budding entrepreneurs.
The thing we are most grateful for, though? YOU. Without your love and support, we wouldn’t be celebrating our 3rd anniversary! Thank you for the follows, the likes, the comments, and the shares. Thank you for reading our blog over 70k times in the past 3 years; we would love your continued support and love if you will have us.
Thanks for being the coffee to our donuts. Cheers to another year of adventures. ♡
