At the beginning of 2019, we were planning our spring trip to Disney. Ashley had been there many times before but this was Erin’s first time at Disney World so we decided it would be fun to do some of the extras. Erin pretty much gave Ashley full reign on planning the trip because she had no clue what to expect. When Ashley texted Er about the Star Wars Galactic Dessert Party being held the day we were at Hollywood studios, Er was all for it. What we didn’t realize then was just how worth it this would really be! We are so glad that we added it on to our tickets and we highly recommend that all Star Wars fans do the same. Here’s why:
1. VIP Status
There were only a limited amount of tickets sold for this event, so everyone was treated like VIPs. Disney definitely goes all out for their parties with reserved tables, a dimly lit atmosphere, cloth linens, delicious drinks, desserts, and hors d’oeuvres. It was planned for the perfect time of day; we were getting hungry and a little tired from a full day at the park so it was nice to relax in a cool atmosphere. It took place in the Star Wars Launch Bay in a private area.
2. Meet & Greets
Meet & Greets: As usual, there are Meet & Greets throughout the day, but sometimes, the ones you or your kids really want aren’t around or you wait in line for a while and may never get a chance to see them. With this option, you get your own private Meet & Greet with each Star Wars character available that day. They also give you the digital photos for free!
Storm Troopers are known to be “jerks” at the park. They won’t stop for a photo and are constantly saying rude things in the signature “Storm Trooper” voice. This one, specifically, liked us and came and got in our selfie… and then made some kind of rude Stormtrooper comment. It was hilarious and one of our favorite parts!!
3. Reserved Front Row Access
When it came time for the evening show to start at Hollywood Studios, we were escorted right to the front of the large crowds that had been camped out for over an hour. Have you ever been to Disney and envied the people who were right up front for that evening’s fireworks show or celebration? We weren’t only right in front, but we got to sit and enjoy the entire show on a private area designated just for us. What was even better is that there was no tall person in front of you blocking your view and no one standing in the way of the perfect shot. Of course, we literally took the front and center spot. Hahaha!
Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely recommend it for the Star Wars fan on your next trip to Hollywood Studios!! ♡

Ash & Er
