a fashion, travel, + real life blog
I can’t believe how quickly another year has flown by. I find the irony that the crappiest travel year of our lives just so happened to be the year we turned 30. It wasn’t all bad, though. Looking back through our 2020 Instagram photos and quotes we really did make the best out of a somewhat disappointing year.
Last February, we celebrated your big 3-0 at Deep Creek Lake with your closest friends and family.
Then we celebrated our Blog-iversary with Pink Velvet Macchiatos and donuts!
March was a bit of a slow and weird month for us. We had a big Texas trip planned and just days before it was completely cancelled because of the pandemic. That month we took the time to slow down a bit, pray for our family, friends, and neighbors, and just focused on what was really important.
We still made time to spend Easter together even though we had to do it apart. We talked on the phone a lot that day and did this fun little picture!
2020 was the year for new endeavors. You were there for me as my very first customer when I finally opened my hair salon; I was one of your very first customers when you officially became licensed to sell cars at Thurby’s Riverside!
We spent countless summer nights relaxing by the fire eating s’mores and listening to “Back Porch” by Willie Jones.
The very day I brought my daughter home you were one of the first ones there – camera in hand. You captured the most vulnerable moment of my life and then stood there and held me and my baby girl as we cried together.
We spent many summer days floating in the pool (Charlie girl, too)…
.. and even went on a special trip to the zoo to feed the giraffes!
We did a try on haul at Lizzies Boutique – one of our absolute favorite places to shop! We tried so hard to support more local business this past year.
We also got to take a camping trip for my 30th birthday and had a pretty memorable moment with high wind and an inflatable raft…
Summer quickly faded to fall and we took Blessing to her first Pumpkin Patch (an Ash and Er tradition)..
…and celebrated Halloween with the sweetest Pumpkin Spice Latte!
We rocked our super cute matching sweatshirts for Thanksgiving…
… and celebrated another Christmas together with full hearts (and laps).
We have made another trip around the sun and now we celebrate you turning 31… (Dude, I didn’t even mean to rhyme but it sounded so good I’m keeping it. haha).
I guess what I am saying is.. turning 30 wasn’t all that bad when you have a friendship like ours. I can’t wait to see what 31 has in store for us.
Happy Birthday, beautiful.
xo,
Er
