February 8th, 1990. I just made the cut of not identifying with the previous decade as an “80s Baby.” I’m completely fine with it though because I absolutely loved growing up in the 90s and 2000s! Of course, everyone is reminiscent of their childhood because it brings back memories of a “simpler & happier” time. For us, it’s Barney, Tamagotchis, *NSync, Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, Rugrats (and all Nickelodeon shows for that matter), TY Beanie Babies, Furby, Mall Madness, Caboodles, TalkGirls, Walkmans, Cabbage Patch Kids, GameBoy, and Lisa Frank… to name a few.
One month ago, my Peloton arrived. I was so excited to start cycling and see for myself what all the hype was about. I knew it would be fun, but I didn’t realize just how customizable that fun would be! I found out quickly that I could do a Google search whatever type of class theme I wanted— and most likely, find something! I mean everything from Disney and boy bands to new hip-hop and country hits! Yes, I’m totally “new here,” but I’ve made my way through some prettttty amazing classes.
My method to finding classes I like is basically searching for what type of class I want and finding blog posts (like this one) that link you directly to the class. I open the link in my Peloton app and “bookmark” the class. Then, when I’m ready to ride, I just go to my bookmarked classes and choose one of them! I find myself searching for fun classes now, rather than browsing social media! The bookmarked classes just keep adding up faster than I can do them all— which is a great problem to have; I always have a fun class I want to try next!
SO, today, I am so excited to share with you my list of classes that any 90s baby is sure to love! I am going to update this list as I continue on my Peloton journey…
My Favorite 90s-00s Peloton Classes
1. 30-minute Spice Girls Ride with Leanne Hainsby: Stop right now, say you’ll be there, and get ready to SPICE UP YOUR LIFE! I actually came back and edited this blog post just to make this class #1 on the list, even though they aren’t listed in any particular order; it was just that good! This is my favorite cycling class I’ve ever taken and I want to take it 20 more times. If you grew up loving the Spice Girls, this is definitely one you don’t want to miss. You will feel all the feelings with Leanne as you sweat through this amazing & fun class! Still not enough spice? Take her 5-minute Spice Girls Cool Down Ride too!
2. 30-minute Backstreet Boys Ride with Cody Rigsby: 30 minutes straight of BSB! I loved this one so much that I’ve done it multiple times! There’s a little arm workout in the middle too! Definitely in my top 5 classes EVER!
3. 30-minute Justin Bieber Ride with Olivia Amato: So MUCH Biebs. Loved the songs (both old JB and new), but this class was TOUGH. With an 8.2 difficulty level, this was definitely the sweatiest class I’ve done so far! I still loved every second of it. And I was like “Baby, baby, baby, ohhh!”
4. 20-minute Low-Impact Ride with Kendall Toole: 20 minutes of Disney magic! This class was one of my favorites because of the Disney-themed music she selected. Kendall is super energetic and kept me giving my best— even in a low-impact class.
5. 20-minute Pop Ride with Emma Lovewell: DISNEY, DISNEY, DISNEY! Emma is so fun to ride with! Loved the song selection— so many songs that took me back to my childhood watching Disney movies! Somehow, Emma gets you to sweat through these nostalgic tunes!
6. 15-minute Low Impact Ride with Emma Lovewell: A slower-paced, low-impact Disney-themed class. If you’re looking to do a cool down class or just take it easy, this is the perfect class with absolutely perfect Disney music. Emma keeps you entertained too with her stories!
7. 20-minute 90s Pop Ride with Kendall Toole: This one has a lot of good 90s and early 2000s hits! It was a good one that got me moving!
8. 20-minute Low-Impact Class with Bradley Rose: This is another Disney-themed class, but it isn’t my favorite of the Disney classes. The songs are good, but the class is definitely a little slower and not as great of a workout— even for a low-impact class. Choose this one if you’re looking for an easier ride.
9. 20-minute 2000s Ride with Ally Love: This one was the first Peloton cycling class I ever took! I loved it! She has the best songs— from JLo to Ludacris! It has a 100% rating from those who have taken it. Definitely a must-do!
10. 30-minute 90s Pop Ride with Ally Love: Gosh, I just love Ally’s playlists always! This one is the perfect 90s mix tape— with everything from Spice Girls to Chumbwamba! A must-do with a 99% user rating!
11. 30-minute Movie Buff Ride with Kendall Toole: Yes— another DIsney ride. Gotta love them. Kendall has some awesome Disney hits on this playlist and she’s just so encouraging all the while!
12. 20-minute Pop Ride with Emma Lovewell: These pop songs are from the 2010s, but still some of my favorites on this playlist that take me back!
13. 30-minute Britney Spears Ride with Cody Rigsby: This one is tough, but it brings back all the old Britney that we loved way back when— with a few new-ish songs sprinkled in from later in the 2000s.
14. 10-minute Low-Impact Ride with Emma Lovewell: Recovering from an injury? Need to take it easy? Take this inspiring Disney-themed class with Emma!
15. 45-minute 2000s Ride with Kendall Toole: If you’re up for a 45-minute sweat sesh and story time with Kendall, check out this ride. The playlist is SO millennial!
16. 10-minute Cool Down Ride with Leanne Hainsby: This one is fun for a little cool down after a Disney class since it has more of what we love— DIsney music!
Like my favorite classes? I’m going to work on getting together a list of just regular classes I like too (current hits, country, etc.)! These were just my favorite classes that take me back to the “good ol’ days” and they seem to be the ones I gravitate toward most! PLEASE let me know if there are any others like this you’ve found that I should try!
See you on the leaderboard!

Ash
